MEPS Story

MEPS was established in 1993 to provide support for the activities and maintenance of Oakland City Stables.

It currently provides support for programs including equine-assisted therapy for people with autism and other disabilities, at-risk youth, trans youth, military veterans and their families, people with cancer, and first responders.

Our mission is to make equestrian activities more accessible through community outreach programs in equine assisted therapy, horsemanship, and sustainable agriculture. We strive to provide a safe, diverse place for learning and healing and believe in “True Inclusion”.

We keep the equestrian legacy alive and thriving.
